Our goals–treecare comes first
Founding member Liam McGough – now listed as a notable arborist – started the company in 2015 with three main goals in mind:
To build a team of like-minded people whose shared aim is to put the care back into tree care;
To educate our customers with modern up-to-date arboricultural practices and drive out the dated relationship with tree cutting;
Create a working environment that allows our employees to showcase their talent, share ideas, build continual professional development and be proud to represent a company that they help to build.
Our founder–LiamMcGough
Since childhood, Liam McGough has had a natural affinity to trees and the outdoors.
Liam started his working life as a tree surgeon aged just 16, attending the prestigious Houghall Arboricultural College in Durham, England.
In the two decades since then, Liam has worked for as a charge hand tree surgeon, cutting his teeth with some of the most experienced experts in the business, and including tree management on the Duke of Northumberland’s private estate.
Liam then progressed into commercial tree management in the utility and railway industries, and built a reputation amongst as a large tree specialist, working on some of the biggest trees in the UK.
Liam moved to London in 2012 and soon started his own company that would address the issues he had witnessed: poor-quality tree care, real talent being undervalued, unstimulated and disheartened, and poor working conditions.
To ensure that he would provide the very best service, he took a degree in arboriculture, specialising in urban forestry management. Liam rose to become a professional member of the Arboriculture Association – a position only attainable by graduates –and he now regularly provides expert advice and consultancy about trees to television and radio broadcasters.

Liam McGough Tree Services provides a seamless experience to both public and private clients, from the initial consultation right through to completion and any aftercare. A team of qualified and experienced staff are always on hand to provide expert advice and outstanding customer care.
Every site is inspected before a job begins, to identify any health and safety risks, and at the end of each job the site is left in an immaculate condition with all work carried out to the highest standards.

Liam McGough Tree Services is equipped to handle any size of project; no trees are too small or too tall.
From planting, pruning, tree-felling, technical rigging and removal, to consultancy and tree reports for mortgage and development BS5837, all works are carried out to British Standard BS3998 but we always strive to go above and beyond any expectations.
Our customers include high-end private customers, local authorities, planning and development companies, housing associations, estate agents, property management companies, schools, river trusts, Royal parks and even allotments.
We are insured to provide the work and also with indemnity for the advice we provide. Our customers have become friends and building working relationships is something in which we take great pride.
